Lighthouse IP Group History

Headquartered in the Netherlands, Lighthouse IP Group was founded in 2006 by a group of Intellectual Property specialists.

After their previous company was sold to Reed Elsevier, they started a new company specializing in information tools related to Intellectual Property.

As Intellectual Property specialists, they recognized that  available information tools were inadequate..  They also discovered that there was a serious shortage in the supply of Intellectual Property information from and to emerging markets worldwide.

Intellectual Property in Emerging Markets

Lighthouse IP Group decided to focus on gathering, digitizing, translating and interpreting Intellectual Property information from these emerging markets. This also explains the choice of locations for our global Lighthouse offices.

In 2007, Lighthouse IP Group opened its first operational hub  in the city of Chengdu, China which was followed by the opening of our second major hub  in the Philippines  on the island of Cebu in 2009.

Currently, Lighthouse IP Group has operations in eight countries (Netherlands, Belarus , China, Japan, Philippines, Thailand, The United States and Vietnam), with over 800 full time employees.
