Lighthouse IP Earns ISO 27001 Certification, Underscoring Commitment to Data Security

Lighthouse Intellectual Property (Lighthouse IP), the world’s leading provider of global patent and trademark intelligence, today announced it has been awarded ISO/IEC 27001:2023 certification for its Information Security Management System (ISMS). The independent audit, conducted by DigiTrust, confirms that Lighthouse IP’s design, development, hosting, support, and data-delivery operations meet the latest international standard for information security.

Willem Lagemaat, Founder and CEO: “Clients trust us with some of their most commercially sensitive information. ISO 27001 is hard evidence that our controls, processes, and culture meet the strictest global benchmark. It means every dataset we deliver and every line of code that touches it, has been scrutinised for confidentiality, integrity, and availability.”

Peter Jan van de Velde, COO, added: “Our role is to transform raw IP data into decisive insight. That only works if customers are certain their data is safe with us. This certification isn’t just about compliance; it shortens vendor-risk assessments, accelerates onboarding, and ultimately helps clients get to market faster.”

The certificate (DGT271721869) is effective from 1 July 2025 and remains valid until 1 July 2028, subject to annual surveillance audits. Lighthouse IP will continue aligning its security roadmap with evolving regulations such as NIS2 and DORA, ensuring clients stay ahead of emerging risks.
