China Sees Surge in Foreign Trademark Applications
In the first half of this year, foreigners submitted 94,000 trademark registration applications in China, marking a year-on-year increase of 7.4 percent, according to data released by the China National Intellectual Property Administration. Among these applications, those from Germany, Italy and the United States experienced significant growth, all surpassing a 20 percent year-on-year increase, the data showed.

‘Abu-Ghazaleh Global Digital’ Finalizes E-Archiving Project of Egyptian Patent Office’s WIPO Files
Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Global Digital (TAG.GD) has finalized the electronic archiving project of the Egyptian Patent Office (EGPO) documents, which is affiliated with the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO). The project included converting 30,000 patent documents into searchable text files. The content was reviewed, edited, and formatted as searchable PDF files, which were then uploaded to the EGPO Electronic Document Management System (EDMS) and WIPO’s PATENTSCOPE system.
