China: The 18th IP5 Heads of Office Meeting Held in Tianjin

The 18th IP5 Heads of Office Meeting was held in Tianjin from May 27 to 28. The meeting was hosted by the China National Intellectual Property Administration (CNIPA). CNIPA Commissioner Shen Changyu presided over the meeting.

Ukraine: The law on the restoration of standard terms in the field of intellectual property rights introduces important changes for rights protection

On 29 April 2025, the President of Ukraine signed the Law on Amendments to the Law of Ukraine “On the Protection of Interests of Persons in the Field of Intellectual Property During Martial Law Introduced Due to the Armed Aggression of the Russian Federation Against Ukraine” regarding the improvement of patent legislation No. 9383 (“Law on Terms”). The Law on Terms came into force on 31 May 2025.
